DESCRIPTION
Spikenard Essential oil is extracted from Nardostachys jatamansi, a flowering plant of the Valerian family. It comes in many names such as nard, nardin and muskroot. Biblically, this oil was mentioned both in the Old and the New Testament as oil used in anointing. It was used by Catholic to represent Saint Joseph. The coats of arm of Pope Francis also include the spikenard oil. The essential of spikenard is said to possess a great healing properties and is considered to have spiritual application.
USES
• Effective to treat athletes foot and body because of its anti-fungal and antibacterial properties
• Effective tonic to your intellect – wear 1 drop of this oil on your wrist, handkerchief, or a tissue paper when studying or add 2 drops in air freshener, diffuser, burner or vaporizer.
• Improves nervous disorders or problems –mix 5 drops of Jatamansi oil with 2.5 ml of coconut oil and massage on the affected parts gently.
• Provides relief from cough, asthma, and other respiratory problems
• Relieves chronic fatigue syndrome, nervous headache and sleeping difficulties – blends 5 drops of Spikenard oil with 2.5 ml of sesame oil and massage your body.
• Serves as a sedative to soothe the nervous tension – add 2 drops of Spikenard oil to your diffuser, burner, and vaporizer or to bathing water.
• Stimulates the uterus, ovaries and helps regulate menstruation
DIRECTIONS
Diffusion:
Diffuse 3-4 drops in whichever diffuser you choose.
Topical application:
Apply 1-2 drops topically to the affected area.To reduce skin sensitivity, dilute spikenard essential oil with Fractionated Coconut Oil.
